Eskom announces load reduction today – will YOU be affected?

Load reduction will take place between 5pm and 7pm on Tuesday, July 21.

Eskom KwaZulu-Natal has announced it will implement load reduction during peak hours today, July 21.

This, the entity said, was to prevent network overloading caused by illegal connections, vandalised electricity infrastructure and bypassed meters.

Overloading of networks, it added, leads to damage to the electricity infrastructure through explosions in overloaded transformers and mini-substations. It also poses danger to people and property in the affected communities.

Load reduction will take place between 5pm and 7pm on Tuesday, 21 July 2020.

The following areas will be affected:

Mdlazi, Kwashoba, Ngcawsheni, Bandlane, Entaba, Sigodadeni, Kwanohlanga, Shobashobane, Dlovinga, Mbeni, Izingolweni and Shobane.
