UPDATE: Confirmed Covid-19 cases climb to 2042 in Ugu District

Between July 22 and July 24, two more people died from the disease and new cases in the district increased by 267.

As of today, Friday, July 24,  KwaZulu-Natal has 53 604 confirmed Covid-19 cases, according to the Department of Health.

Of these, 32 327 are active with 2 885 new cases confirmed today.

Some 563 people have died from the disease in the province.

The recovery rate is 20 714.

The total number of screenings done is  9 218 028 and 187 768 tests have been conducted.
