UPDATE: Confirmed Covid-19 cases climb to 3 211 in Ugu District

Some 1 683 people have recovered from the disease in the district.

As of today, Monday, August 3, KwaZulu-Natal has 82 300 confirmed Covid-19 cases, according to the Department of Health.

Of these, 37 148 are active with 2 693 new cases confirmed today.

Some 886 people have died from the disease in the province.

The recovery rate is 44 266.

The total number of screenings done is 9 927 352 and 209 014 tests have been conducted.
