UPDATE: Covid-19 deaths climb to 75 in Ugu District

The number of confirmed cases in the district now stands at 3 597.

As of today, Friday, August 7, KwaZulu-Natal has 90 115 confirmed Covid-19 cases, according to the Department of Health.

Of these, 35 413 are active with 2 398 new cases confirmed today.

Some 1 193 people have died from the disease in the province.

The recovery rate is 53 509.

The total number of screenings done is 10 213 438 and 216 427 tests have been conducted.
