UPDATE: Over 4 000 confirmed Covid-19 cases recorded in Ugu District

The recovery rate is 2 907 in the district.

As of today, Wednesday, August 12, KwaZulu-Natal has 100 494 confirmed Covid-19 cases, according to the Department of Health.

Of these, 42 213 are active with 1 098 new cases confirmed today.

Some 1 523 people have died from the disease in the province.

The recovery rate is 56 758.

The total number of screenings done is 10 490 329 and  222 764 tests have been conducted.
