UPDATE: Confirmed Covid-19 cases climb to 4 405 in Ugu District

The recovery rate stands at 3 620 in the district.

As of today, Friday, August 21, KwaZulu-Natal has 108 080 confirmed Covid-19 cases, according to the Department of Health.

Of these, 22 692 are active with 805 new cases confirmed today.

Some 1 906 people have died from the disease in the province.

The recovery rate is 83 482.

The total number of people screened is 11 297 254 and the total tests conducted are 236 756.
