UPDATE: Confirmed Covid-19 cases stand at 4 660 in Ugu District

Some 3 784 people have recovered from the virus in the district.

As of today, Friday, August 28, KwaZulu-Natal has 111 585 confirmed Covid-19 cases, according to the Department of Health.

Of these, 14 457 are active with 488 new cases confirmed today.

Some 2 117 people have died from the disease in the province.

The recovery rate is 95 011.

The total number of people screened is 11 668 871 and the total tests conducted are  242 993.
