Umdoni beaches remain closed for swimming

Umdoni Municipality has issued a reminder that its beaches remain closed for swimming.

Although the level 2 lockdown regulations state that parks and beaches are open to the public, bathing is still banned as the shark safety gear has not been replaced.

“The lifeguards are also not yet back on duty pending training for responding to drowning incidents under the Covid-19 period,” said Umdoni Municipality communications officer, Sphelele Cele.
