Taxi rank manager killed in Umzinto

The man was walking to his home in Umzinto with his wife when he was ambushed.

A taxi rank manager (33) was shot and killed at the Umzinto taxi rank on the evening of August 31.

According to police, the victim was the rank manager for QoloQolo Taxis and was walking to his home in Umzinto with his wife when he was ambushed.

“He was shot in the back several times and was pronounced dead at the scene,” said Scottburgh Saps communications officer, Captain Adam Francis.

Anyone with information on the shooting is asked to contact Captain Vanitha Naicker, branch commander of the Umzinto Detective Services, at 086-0010111.
