Tuning In: Major degree for Madison
Madison Bamber has completed her Bachelor of Science in Life Science, majoring in zoology and genetics, cum laude.
It’s the middle of September – schools break up soon – and the Grade 12s are writing trials and then going straight into finals.

The community is mourning the death of Colin ‘Tank’ Bell, who died last Friday.
At Tank’s request, there will be few formalities as family and friends remember him simply and in well-loved places where they can smell the ocean.
There will be a private committal and wake this Saturday.

He is looking forward to introducing JKS (Japanese Karate Shoto) to the South Coast.
Shihan Norman Robinson, head of JKS South Africa, has given Stephen the mandate to teach the Shotokan syllabus to the community.
Classes are being held at Relton Hall on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, from 6pm to 7pm.
The members of motorcycle club, The Widows Sons, celebrated Bryan Davies’s birthday last weekend, presenting him with his own leather waistcoat as a gift.

Pennington residents are reminded that Self in Action is still feeding 18 families in Pennington who haven’t been able to recover from the lockdown.
There was a drive-by food collection a few weeks ago with a somewhat disappointing response.
The trolley at OK Foods has hardly anything in it anymore.
Pennington Crime Watch wants to assist and is asking for suggestions on how Self in Action can be helped to feed these families.
