Meeting inspires women to be worthy

The group said it aimed “to inspire, motivate and love all women in and out of its circle, especially abused women and children”.

Women of all ages gathered for an uplifting Inspired Women Of Worth event in Umkomaas recently.

Attendees enjoyed the opportunity to mingle, sing praise and worship songs, take part in several interactive activities and of course tuck in to some tasty snacks.

The group said it aimed “to inspire, motivate and love all women in and out of its circle, especially abused women and children”.

“Women of today need to understand that it’s not all about men, and we want to show women that they can be independent and self-reliant too,” said group leader, Ruth Harper.

“As women, we are strong, beautiful and were created to be the best that we can be.”

Ruth said the group hoped to open a safe house for abused women and children in the near future.
