Wear white in support of frontline healthcare workers

Members and staff of Body Zone Gym in Scottburgh acknowledged frontline workers when they hosted a group exercise fitness festival which was open to all for free last Friday (26).

All participants wore white in support of Scottburgh’s frontline workers, especially those in the healthcare sector who are physically and mentally tired trying to put an end to this pandemic.

The event was due to be held outside, to keep in line with Covid protocols, but rain forced the event indoors.

Still, they made it happen.

“Your hard work and long hours does not go unnoticed and we truly appreciate each and every one of you,” said Mekella Rose Duyvestyn of Body Zone Gym.

Appreciation gifts were also delivered around Scottburgh to several frontline workers as a token of appreciation which brought smiles to many faces.

The Body Zone Gym challenges the Scottburgh community to wear white at least one day this week to support and give thanks to frontline workers.

“Go the extra mile by sending a simple message of appreciation via email or text to your local doctor or any other frontline worker just to let them know that you are grateful for them during these tough times,” added Mekella.
