Birding enthusiasts and newcomers are invited to join the Bendigo Conservancy for a Birding for Beginners presentation at Mbango Valley Association hall on October 4 from 14:00 to 16:30.

Presented by Chris Matthews, the session will cover the basics of becoming a birder, including suitable clothing, birding equipment, bird identification, and recognising bird silhouettes, sizes, shapes, and habitats.

The presentation will be followed by an audiovisual slideshow featuring birds from the Umbogavango Nature Reserve in Amanzimtoti.
