Silver lining for ‘hands-on Dad’

Dakhota is the second grandson to Johan and Ina du Plessis of Nelspruit, and sixth grandson to Scottburgh's Pastor Mary Ann de Kock.

Jannes du Plessis, an Assagay resident, is among many South Africans who have had no choice but to work from home due to lockdown.

Fortunately for him, being at home hasn’t been all that bad as it has given him and his wife Yàchal more time to spend with their newborn son, Dakhota, who was born on January 26.

Dakhota is the second grandson to Johan and Ina du Plessis of Nelspruit, and sixth grandson to Scottburgh’s Pastor Mary Ann de Kock.

She found it rather heart-warming to see her grandson’s father cope so well, balancing work and ‘daddy duties’ during a pandemic.
