Pelicans drop by for brief shopping spree
Whether the pelicans were shopping or stopping for lunch is still unclear.
Two pelicans graced the Harbourview Superspar parking lot with their presence on Monday afternoon (8th).
Known for its large bill and gular pouch, pelicans can dive as deep as nine meters into the water to capture prey.
These large water birds are an uncommon sight and were met with fascination by shoppers and employees alike.
Whether the pelicans planned to dine at one of the restaurants or pick up their monthly groceries remains unclear however, bystanders were thrilled to see them.
