Vehicle crashes into tree in Anerley

A vehicle was extensively damaged after it crashed into trees in Ocean Drive North in Anerley yesterday.

A motorist who witnessed the accident contacted Lazer 911 Security control centre, requesting assistance at the scene.

Basil Lanka of Lazer 911 said the response units were dispatched and, on arrival, found the vehicle hanging ‘on a few branches’.

“Our officer Dawid Enslin with the help of a bystander, helped the driver (an elderly woman) out the vehicle before it was recovered by a tow truck,” said Mr Lanka.

She escaped uninjured.

“Well done to the officer, dispatcher and all involved,” he said.
