Identikit links this man to jewelry theft

Police spokesman Petros Mpinge said it is alleged that an unknown man approached a residence claiming to purchase old gold or jewelry.

Port Shepstone Saps is requesting the assistance of the public in the investigation of a theft case which occurred in Umtentweni in March 2021.

He further requested a drink of water and while the complainant went to get some water, he quickly made a search of the house and took jewelry of substantial value.

The man may have left in an LDV with an ND registration.

The person in the attached identikit may be able to help police with this investigation.
