Sunshine was welcomed at Umtentweni Tennis Club last week Saturday after the heavy rains that drenched the South Coast.

Foxy Norton and Tisch Roos had a joint “Woodstock” celebration under the trees behind the top courts at the club celebrating their birthdays last Sunday.

The club extended its gratitude for organising such a happy get-together which was thoroughly enjoyed by all. Des Mayne, who visited from Pietermaritzburg, joined the club members ensuring that all six courts were utilised for an afternoon of much needed tennis.

Members are urged to remember to put their names on the lists at the club to enter the championships, as entries come to a close this Saturday with matches expected to start the following week.

Entrants will be notified of matches and times for the 19th.
