Wesley ‘Wzo’ Scholtz has achieved something no Liverpool Football Club manager has ever done.

Despite holding the record for most wins (20, shared with Manchester United), Liverpool has never actually won the title three times in a row. Hard to believe, it seems.

But Wzo’s merry Liverpool supporting Pro-Vision golfers have done the hat-trick, overcoming their fairway rivals in an absorbing clash at Port Shepstone CC recently.

It was close, with Liverpool winning with an average score of 32,371 to United’s 31,117.

Within minutes of the scores being announced, Wzo had received two calls: the first from Juergen Klopp saying ‘Boom!’ and the second from Arne Slot, begging him to join his coaching staff.

Wzo thanked the Liverpool players for putting in the hard work, and also thanked his rival captain Macallistair Korah and the United players for making it such a close and entertaining contest.

Macallistair did well not to show his disappointment. He had been hoping for a call from Michael Carrick but apparently he was too busy trying to sort out United’s defence.

There’s already been chatter about ‘revenge’ for United next year… time will tell.
