Scottburgh actor Bruce joins popular TV show
Bruce's episodes of The Estate are expected to air around July.
Bruce Gounder, a renowned actor in the mid-South Coast area and one of the faces behind Boulevard Films International based in Park Rynie, has joined the cast of one of the country’s new and popular daily TV shows on SABC 3, The Estate.
The local man became a part of the stellar cast roughly a month ago and has already shot 12 episodes.
“It’s an amazing feeling to work on such a powerful set with several A-list South African actors,” said Bruce.
“There is a lot of hard work that goes into these shows and there have been times where we’ve shot about eight scenes a day.”
Bruce will be playing, as he describes, a “dark character” whom he hopes the audience of this Clive Morris Productions show will take a liking to.
Prior to his casting on the show, Bruce and his team at Boulevard Films premiered their first feature film, Fish’s Tale, which he believes has opened doors like this for him.
“We’ve received international recognition for this movie in places such as China, Malaysia, Singapore and even Hollywood,” he said.
“With my passion for this industry and the current acting work I’m doing, I can only see myself going to Hollywood in the next few years.”
Besides his love for acting, Bruce also enjoys the travelling aspects of his profession, as well as meeting new people and getting advice on how to better himself as an actor.
“I’m not a person that allows fame to get to my head, and I will continue growing myself while remaining humble.”
Bruce’s episodes of The Estate are expected to air around July.
