Tuning In: Byron pops the question…

Happy Father’s Day for Sunday.

Congratulations to two truly beautiful people, Byron Shrimpton and Jessica van der Hoven, who have announced their engagement.

Byron is the son of Mark and Sandra Shrimpton of Scottburgh and Jessica is the daughter of Bev van der Hoven of Amanzimtoti.

I know that the community will join me in sending heartfelt condolences to family and friends of Nigel Eady who passed away recently.

Natalie Danks of the Doghouse was blown away by the huge response to their animal rescue blanket drive.

This community has already dropped off eight bags plus two dog beds for donation to 4 Paws and a Tale Rescue Centre and SPCA.

“How blessed I am to live amongst such a generous community. My eternal gratitude. Will send out donation letters as soon as I drop off next week. We will continue to collect for as long as the weather remains cold,” she said.

“Remember to ask for your 5% discount off your meal as our way of saying thank you for assisting us with this project that us near and dear to my heart. Anyone who has dropped off at Live Love & Laugh is also entitled to this discount just let us know when u here. Again my thanks.”

The Beach Café is open on Fridays from 16:30. Bring a bottle of wine and enjoy a casual atmosphere looking out over a beautiful ocean.

Pennington Conservancy asks the community to remember Save Our Trees (SOT) and protect our trees from chainsaws.

Help us SOT by sending a WhatsApp to 081 3937006 when you hear a chainsaw being revved up. You could save a Pennington tree’s life!

Note that there will be NO recycling today, Wednesday, due to a problem with the contractor’s vehicle.
