Three men arrested for robbery in Boboyi

A security guard at a construction site in Boboyi was held up by two men armed with knives during the early morning hours of Monday, June 14.
Four more men then appeared, one of whom was armed with a handgun.
They tied up the guard and forced him to lie down in the guard house. After breaking open the container, an LDV was loaded with building material and the men sped off.
Police spokesman Captain Petros Mpinge said Saps responded to information and an operation was conducted by Port Shepstone Detective Service on June 30.
A residence in Mbambayi, Murchison was identified as being linked to this incident.
Three generators and a number of 5-litre and 20-litre drums of paint were recovered.
Three men, between the ages of 24 and 28 years, were arrested and charged with possession of suspected stolen property and armed robbery.
They recently appeared in the Port Shepstone Magistrate’s Court.
