Tamil association elects new committee

The association places on record its gratitude to past chairperson Dinaranjinee Naidoo for her hard work and dedication in steering the organisation forward.

The Port Shepstone Tamil Association held a successful biennial general meeting recently.

In her secretarial report, Radha Moodley paid tribute to the late Bobby Naidoo who served as a dedicated member and trustee of the organisation for almost 30 years until his death in January.

He will be fondly remembered for his commitment to the upliftment of Hindu culture in the community.

This year, the association celebrates its 55th anniversary.

The newly elected committee looks forward to promoting the vision and goals of the organisation.

It comprises Anand Gounden (chairperson), Girlie Govender (vice chairperson), Radha Moodley (secretary), Suri Moodley (assistant secretary), Frank Moodley (PRO), Rena Naicker (treasurer) and Valerie Chetty (assistant treasurer).
