PROTEST UPDATE: Harding town heartbreak as rioters run amok [WATCH]

Rioters have destroyed every shop in Harding leaving residents with nothing - no food, milk or bread.

Video footage emerging from Harding depicts a grim picture.

Everything in the town has been looted.

There is not one shop that hasn’t been destroyed by rioters.

Farmers, especially timber farmers, are working around the clock to put out fires started by the looters between Ndabeni and Kokstad side of Harding.

Locals with the help of police have been working together to drive the mob out of Harding.

The entrance of Harding has now been blockaded.

“They tried to get into the country club but luckily farming locals have aided in stopping that.”

“There is not a single shop that has been left intact. There is no food available and no shops are open. There is not a petrol station open, so there is no diesel available,” said a resident.

“It’s almost like a full blown war now with people having to fight back. It’s nothing that I have ever seen before,” he added.
