People have been seeing queuing for food at various shopping outlets along the coast since as early as 4am this morning.

Community and security members who patrolled last night have reported back that it was a quiet evening.

People have been arriving at the shops since the early hours of this morning.

Shoppers are urged to stay calm while standing in queues and only buy essential items.

Although supplies are being sourced, residents are urged to use food and water sparingly.
