UPDATE: Eskom KZN makes progress in clearing faults in areas affected by unrest

A huge backlog of the faults had accumulated due to inaccessibility.

Eskom teams in KZN have made good progress clearing faults in areas affected by the unrest that took place last week.

The teams worked over the weekend and managed to clear a huge backlog of the faults that had accumulated due to inaccessibility caused by the mayhem.

“However, some customers may still be affected. We request that customers do not re-log their faults, as our teams are aware of them and will reach all affected areas,” said an Eskom spokesperson.

Eskom will continue to do the necessary risk assessment before dispatching technicians.

Customers are thanked for their patience during this difficult time.
