Tuning In: Vera turns another year younger
Vera Birt from Lakeview Care Centre recently celebrated 101 years young.
Belated happy birthday to Vera Birt from Lakeview Care Centre who recently celebrated 101 years young. She is a very strong and amazing woman who was celebrating her birthday while in hospital having a total hip replacement. Sr Liz Book says that nothing knocks Vera down, and she is back and in tiptop shape.

* Scottburgh Athletic Club time trials start and finish at Scottburgh Golf Club on Wednesdays at 17:15. All are welcome, runners and walkers. It will start and finish at Scottburgh Golf Club. There will be water tables and athletes are asked to bring their own cup. Entry fee is R50. * Recycling happens this week at Relton Hall today (August 25) for tins only from 09:00 to 10:00. Please do not drop off before this time. The recycling team realise that there has been a build up of bottles which it hopes to be able to collect as soon as possible.
* The Osisibathemba crisis centre at G.J. Crookes Hospital is looking for donations of toiletries. A drop off point in Pennington is Seeff.
