Drug peddlers nabbed by cops

Two men, aged 52 and 21, were arrested after they were found in possession of 100 mandrax tablets and 277 capsules of heroin.

Police spokesman Captain Petros Mpinge said this came after police officers from Port Shepstone Saps conducted stop and search operations in Marburg and Port Shepstone areas on Thursday, September 16, which resulted in the arrest of the two men for possession of drugs.

The estimated street value of the recovered drugs is R20 000.

Both men are expected to appear in the Port Shepstone Magistrate’s Court soon.
