Margate business gutted by fire

Wade Bothma, part owner of the company, said they were shocked it happened as one doesn't expect it.

A fire which broke out on Tuesday evening has left one of Margate’s landmark buildings gutted.

The building on Lagoon Drive, which houses Martin Electronics and a church, caught ablaze just after 20:00.

Wade Bothma, part owner of the company, said they were shocked it happened as one doesn’t expect it.

“We are currently working to be back in business as soon as possible,” he said.
At this stage, the cause of the fire is unknown.
