Pageant finalist gets the crown
Tenisha explained that the more support she gained, the closer she'd get to the crown.
Tenisha Gounder, the daughter of former Umzinto local Kasavan Gounder, was crowned Miss Teen Pretoria 2021/22 last weekend.
The Gounder family wishes to thank each and every person who has voted for Tenisha and helped her obtain this title.
In August this year, as a finalist, Tenisha reached out to locals in her father’s former hometown for their support and explained how this pageant allows her to do a lot of charity.
Tenisha explained that the more support she gained, the closer she’d get to the crown.
Now that she has won the crown with just over 5000 public votes, it has given her a platform to do even more for her community in Gauteng, but she would not have reached that point without the hundreds of people within and outside her province who voted for her daily.
“A massive thank you to everyone from the mid-South Coast who helped me get to the top,” she said. “It was amazing being supported by people from my community, as well as my dads.”
Tenisha has already done quite a bit of charity work. People wanting to donate to any of her charities can contact her on leegounder@yahoo.com
In addition to the crown, Tenisha walked away with three other titles, namely Beauty with a Purpose, The Debutants Award and Philanthropy Award.
