Two pedestrians hit by truck at Merlewood
The patients who were critically injured, were treated by paramedics and taken to hospital.
Kwazulu Private Ambulance Service responded to the N2 at Merlewood intersection for reports of a collision earlier this morning.
When emergency services arrived, they found that two pedestrians had been knocked over by a truck. Paramedics quickly assessed the scene and found that two patients had sustained critical injuries.
The patients were treated on scene before being transported to hospital for further treatment.
According to witnesses on scene, the truck allegedly lost control and started sliding into a spin, colliding into the pedestrians.
