A pedestrian was killed by a motorist travelling on the N2 freeway near Sezela last week Monday.
According to police, it is alleged that the motorist was on the Durban (north) bound lane when the pedestrian ran onto the road and was hit by the vehicle.
He succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
A case of culpable homicide is being investigated by Detective Sergeant Sifiso Wiseman Gumede of Scottburgh Detective Service.
Scottburgh Saps communications officer Captain Adam Francis also urges motorists to be vigilant of pedestrians in the Sezela vicinity.
