New municipal manager at last
Ndlela has numerous qualifications and a lot of work experience which made her a suitable candidate.

Umdoni Municipality welcomed on board its newly appointed municipal manager (MM), Thabisile Cornelia Ndlela, earlier this month.
The new MM officially entered into a year’s service obligation contract with the municipality with effect from November 1 and will serve until October 31 next year.
Ndlela has numerous qualifications and a lot of work experience which made her a suitable candidate.
She has a Bachelor of Technology Degree in Public Management, Bachelor of Technology Degree in Management, Bachelor of Commerce Honours in Human Resources Management, qualifications in municipal governance, Professional Practice Framework for Internal Auditors amongst other qualifications.
She also has over a decade of experience in senior management in local government. Ndlela has occupied a similar post at Umkhambathini Local Municipality for five years, worked as a general manager Internal Audit at Umgeni Local Municipality for six years and was head of Community Services Department at uMgungundlovu District Municipality for two years.
The MM has already begun with the analysis of the municipal Integrated Development Plan to identify areas where the municipality is lagging and how the municipality can improve going forward.
“One will also ensure the municipality’s financial health is well guarded and strengthened while concurrently vigorously tackling the causes of regression in terms of the Auditor General’s outcomes and further devise feasible turnaround strategies,” she said.
