Rap duo aims to end year on high

The album, which caters to all music lovers, features tunes of all kinds, including hip-hop mixed genres, soft R&B, hip-hop, gospel hip-hop, hardcore rap, trap, trapsoul, kasi rap and more, to suit everyone's tastes.

With the release of their debut album, ‘High Life’ in March, the South Coast Herald caught up with local rapper Kwazi Bee and his fellow rap partner Puzzle.

After financial struggles to complete the project, Kwazi Bee (Kwazi Beltrutti) and Puzzle (Seluleko Nhleko) from KwaNzimakwe managed to finalise the finishing touches before officially releasing the final product in July, having suffered a four-month delay.

Puzzle is ready to silence the naysayers with his music, as he and his rap partner Kwazi B are looking to take the music world by storm.

“Things were not that easy since we struggled to complete the album because of finances, but we managed to get that sorted and now it’s out. We’ve had a few gigs and radio interviews and things have been moving since the release,” Kwazi Bee said.

The album, which caters to all music lovers, features tunes of all kinds, including hip-hop mixed genres, soft R&B, hip-hop, gospel hip-hop, hardcore rap, trap, trapsoul, kasi rap and more, to suit everyone’s tastes.

Having worked with the likes of Zakwe and Prince Bulo of Afrotainment in the build up to releasing High Life, their lead single “Ziwal’edustini’ saw them earn a playlisting on Ukhozi FM.

“We’re working on a music video for Ziwal’edustini and our other singles Jezebel and Iminyaka. We also have a few exciting features lined up as we are looking at collaborating with an artist from America called Lil Pine,” Puzzle said.

The public can find High Life on all digital platforms and are encouraged to like the duo’s social media pages on Instagram and Facebook.
