Hospice’s ‘colonel’ urges men to test for cancer
He has been taking around his 'chicken bucket' in hopes of getting more donations to support the free palliative care hospice offers.
To end the month of Movember, Khanya Hospice CEO Neil McDonald wishes to create more cancer awareness by requesting men to be tested for prostate and testicular cancer.
“We take this very seriously, and men should take note and be tested as early detection is of great importance,” he said.
“Men, make an appointment to see your general practitioner or urologist and get peace of mind.”
Many men supported Movember by growing out their beards and moustaches, which is exactly what McDonald did, which made him look like a very famous colonel, not in law enforcement… but of a popular chicken franchise!
