Huawei Matebook: the mid-range notebook with overall performance beyond affordability
Combined with utility and ample SSD memory, plus AMD processor excellent optimisations in contrast to the previous generation, the Matebook D 15 offers a great experience and becomes the brand's 15.6'' all-rounder.

Starting with a minimalist design, it is made of aluminium alloy and features a galactic grey coating on the surface for a more classic look.
As for the lid, it requires both hands to open, yet the total weight is no more than 1.62kg, making it one of the lightest laptops on the market.
Living up to its portability, the side is extremely slim, and features three ports on the left side, including USB Type-C, USB-A, and HDMI, while on the right side, a conventional 3.5mm headphone jack and USB 2.0 port are located.
The display hinge allows up to 180° screen tilt for a better viewing adjustment. Additionally, the 84% ISP screen-to-body ratio, together with ultra-thin bezels make the notebook one of the best options for multimedia content editing and movie watching.
Following this line, the huawei matebook d 15 screen offers a Full-View HD definition with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 but lacks the conventional lens located in the top bezel. Instead, this has a pop-up camera located between the F6 and F7 for better performance when protecting your privacy against possible malware attacks, which refers to the brightness within 250 nits, and although it allows a good view even in sunlight, it is best to use it in places where the rays do not hit directly on it.
Its colour accuracy and sRGB gamut coverage rate is 53%, a moderate performance for a mid-range notebook, however, it is a display that will satisfy those with high colour accuracy requirements. The same goes for blue light reduction in the PWM flicker test, which turns out to be quite good.
Performance and usability
Equipped with Intel Core i5 10th Gen 10210, and Windows 10, the laptop is capable of successfully handling complicated daily tasks. Its internal storage of 8GB RAM and 512GB of SSD storage is sufficient for students and office work. On the entertainment side, while the i5 processor isn’t powerful enough to run some of the large high-definition PC titles, it can run casual games such as Asphalt 8, League of Legends, and others.
Battery life All in all, the Battery Capacity (WHR 42) of the Huawei Matebook D 15 is astonishing, given that it is capable of tolerating around 11 hours of continuous video playback. As for the charging pin, this is a USB-C one, so you can even use your smartphone’s charger and get a 46% charge in just 30′.
It’s worth noting that the power button is also a fingerprint reader, so you’ll have access only to whoever you want.
