* Do not to carry large amounts of cash when out in public, rather do electronic transfers which are believed to be safer.
* Walk in a group in public places and avoid isolated streets.
* Conceal your cellular phones and valuables when in public.
* Do not allow yourself to get interrupted by unknown persons at the ATM, malls and on the streets.
* Do not ask strangers for any assistance or do not accept any help from strangers.
* Keep your vehicle windows closed at stop streets and at traffic lights.
* Do not leave valuables on your car seats when driving.
* Double check your car doors after locking it.
The police also emphasises that the consumption of alcohol on public beaches is strictly prohibited.
“The public is reminded to wear masks and comply with Covid-19 regulations when out this festive season too,” added Captain Francis.
