Young women trained in advocacy

The purpose of the training which was supported by Her Voice Funds, was to capacitate young women on raising awareness, building alliance, seeking change in policies and tackling issues that concern and affect them in their lives.

Coastal Resource Centre, a community-based non-profit organisation based in Port Edward, recently conducted a training workshop on advocacy and advocacy tactics for adolescent girls and young women at the Wild Coast Sun and Casino in Mzamba.

The purpose of the training which was supported by Her Voice Funds, was to capacitate young women on raising awareness, building alliance, seeking change in policies and tackling issues that concern and affect them in their lives.

This workshop which was attended by 34 young women from rural communities in the Ugu and Alfred Nzo districts, is part of the activity implementation of Her Voice project grant supported by Global Funds, Viiv Healthcare and GNP+.
