Get moving with parkrun

The next Uvongo parkrun, over 5km, will take place on Saturday, January 8, from 8am.

It starts and finishes at St Mike’s beach car park area.

Uvongo parkrun is fun, but definitely not smooth. Most people walk, so running isn’t the object.

You need good shoes and be prepared for beach, grass, mud and tar terrain. It’s also a good idea to take water with you, especially now in summer.

The idea isn’t to race against anyone except yourself.

It’s an event that can be enjoyed by young and old and a great way to get in some easy exercise while getting fresh air and boosting your immune system for free.
