Marburg Community Policing Forum has warned residents not to be caught by scam currently on the go in the town.
Two men, driving a white Toyota Corolla, are approaching senior citizens, asking for Sassa cards and ID books.
“They say they will withdraw R1000 a month and give you R200 000 at the end of the year. This is a scam!” said Fathima Moosa.
“Please be aware of this scam and do not hand over important documents, especially your bank and Sassa cards.”
If you have been scammed, contact Fathima on 082 4619541, or any of MCPF members, urgently.
