The body of a 61-year-old man was found in the bushes on his property in Sea Park yesterday (May 9) at about 21:30.
The discovery came by police and security after he could not be located earlier in the day.
Police spokesman Captain Petros Mpinge said a case of murder has been opened at Saps Southport for investigation as the man had sustained a gunshot wound to the back.
His cellphone and television were taken in the house robbery.
He has not been officially identified.
