Exploring nature at Megan du Plessis

Standing in awe watching baby bananas being unravelled from under a huge maroon banana blossom.

It was a great adventure on a nature walk, as the Yellow Class at Megan du Plessis Special Needs Centre explored among the rocks, recognising guava, mulberry, macadamia and banana trees.

Learners were in awe watching baby bananas being unravelled from under a huge maroon banana blossom.

They collected different grasses, flowers, seeds of different shapes and sizes, colourful leaves, and some moss and bark.

They also found small bugs, spider webs and watched the wild geese on the dam and the fish eagle soaring above. So much fun, so much adventure, they were in awe of South Coast nature.
