With its very recent arrival at Suzuki South Coast, I had the privilege to take this fresh-looking compact sedan out for a spin. Once you’re in the car, the visibility from the driver’s seat is good, making you feel comfortable and in control. The basic controls and the layout of the instrument panel are easy to navigate.

Typically, a test drive should last for at least a half an hour to get a feel of the speed, handling, brakes and overall performance. My drive along The Block in Port Shepstone was pretty amazing.

Inside the Dzire, there is perfect balance with a sleek design and modern tech. The instrument panel features a textured finish that adds depth, with consideration given to every detail to elevate your drive.

Also, the back seat is just as comfortable, with plenty of leg room. I don’t like sitting in the the rear with limited legroom, so thumbs up to the Dzire.

Powering the Dzire is a new 1.2-litre three-cylinder petrol engine delivering 60kW of power and 112 Nm of torque. All models come standard with six airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, and Isofix mounts. The vehicle recently scored five stars for adult protection and four for child protection in global NCAP testing.
