Rugged Navara Pro-4X Warrior tackles all terrains

It brings a tougher, more stylish package to the South African market.

The Nissan Navara Pro-4X Warrior is a more rugged and capable version of the popular bakkie, as a series of modifications have enhanced its off-road performance and overall aesthetic.

While it’s not meant to rival others, it certainly brings a tougher, more stylish package to the South African market, making it a breeze to tackle all terrains that Mzansi has to offer.

So, what do you get for the extra outlay? Sales executive at Thompson Motors Port Shepstone, Jereld Latchmigadu, says the Warrior boasts an upgraded suspension system featuring improved springs and recalibrated dampers, which increases the vehicle’s ground clearance from 221mm to 232mm.

“The rear suspension which features a multi-link, rather than leaf-spring configuration has been revised to enhance load stability. The Pro-4X Warrior stands out with its muscular design elements and boasts 17-inch alloy wheels wrapped in Maxxis Razr all-terrain tyres for superior traction.”

Sales executive Jereld Latchmigadu points out that it’s a Warrior and it’s tough.

According to Jereld, the black grille features a bold red Nissan badge, adding a touch of aggression to its front. Black side-steps with red accents, roof rails, and a black sports bar contribute to its rugged look.

“To make the vehicle more capable off-road, the Warrior is fitted with bolt-on wheel arch cladding and a red-accented front skid plate, enhancing its approach angle. Additionally, the Pro-4X Warrior decals adorn the side of the loadbin, marking it as a special edition of the Navara.”

Under the hood, the Pro-4X Warrior keeps the 2.5-litre turbo diesel engine, which produces 140kW and 450Nm of torque, providing ample power for both on-road and off-road driving.
