A man, aged 26, will make his second appearance in the Port Shepstone Magistrate’s Court on April 30 in connection with the murder of Zamephi Ngwazi, aged 62, who was found dead in her home in Enkulu location near Gamalakhe recently.
It is alleged that she had been severely assaulted with a garden spade between March 26 and 27.
The accused was located and arrested after he had fled the area. It is alleged personal property of the woman was found in his possession.
He remains in police custody.
