Murder case postponed

The accused abandoned his bail application in May this year.

Siyabonga Ngwazi, who is allegedly accused of murdering his girlfriend, Phumzile Mthethwa’s daughter, Lumingaye, appeared in the Umzumbe Magistrate’s Court recently.

The case was postponed to August 15 and transferred to the high court.

In May this year, Ngwazi abandoned his bail application.

Two-year-old Lumingaye of KwaBangibizo in the Esgqungeni area in Mtwalume was found dead outside her home in April.

A member of a non-profit organisation, Women of Mtwalume, Nompumelelo Luthuli, said she is disappointed that such incidents are on the increase.
