Burglary baffles couple

Police confirmed the incident and said that entry was gained through a window.

While asleep one night recently, a Hibberdene couple were unaware that their home had been burgled.

Sarita Lubbe of Woodgrange in Hibberdene said that she and her husband, Johann, woke up in the morning, and as they prepared for the day, they noticed that several items were missing.

At first, they noticed that the TV was gone and on investigation, they realised that a laptop and other property was missing as well.

She said they live in a complex with a security guard and an electric fence, and it puzzles them how an intruder gained entrance into their house.

Police confirmed the incident and said that entry was gained through a window.

In a statement, the Ugu District Saps communications department said Hibberdene police are investigating a case of burglary.
