Man fatally stabs girlfriend and child before taking his own life

This incident occurred in the Danganya area in Umgababa.

Umkomaas police are investigating two counts of murder and have opened an inquest docket after a 24-year-old man stabbed his 22-year-old girlfriend and three year old son to death.

He then took his own life.

This incident occurred in the Danganya area in Umgababa and is suspected to have happened last night (December 19).

The bodies were recovered by police this morning (December 20).

This is the second brutal murder of a young woman in the mid-South Coast area.

Earlier this week, a man in Malangeni (near Umzinto) killed his partner before taking his own life.
