Sihle Shabene from Nyandezulu was found dead at his home last Friday night.
It is believed that he was stabbed in the chest with a sharp object by a family member who then fled.
Shabane’s family and neighbours described him as an angel who was always trying to make ends meet to survive.
According to a source, it was around 23:00 when a family member shouted that an ambulance be called because Shabane was injured.
Police spokesperson Constable Thenjiswa Ngcobo confirmed the incident and said that Paddock police have arrested a 63-year-old man for murder.
“The suspect was arrested following an incident in which a 37-year-old man was allegedly killed at Nyandezulu area on February 14.”
Ngcobo said that the suspect is due to appear before Port Shepstone Magistrate’s Court this week.
