Sawoti man arrested, revolver seized
It is believed that the man allegedly assaulted a woman and pointed a firearm at her.
A man (21) from Maqhikizane location in Sawoti has been arrested after a case of ‘pointing of firearm’ was opened at his local police station.
According to Saps, it is believed that the man allegedly assaulted a woman and pointed a firearm at her.
Police searched his room and found a revolver.
He will appear in the Dududu Magistrate’s Court on charges of pointing of a firearm and possession of an unlicensed firearm.
The public is urged to work together with Saps and report all illegal firearms to local police, as these are used to perpetrate serious and violent crimes.
